We came back from Kansai region of Japan last week.
We have been to Mie, Nara, Shiga, and Kyoto. Strolling around the cities. Driving up to the mountains and down to the rivers encompassing Lake Biwa. Have not only come to appreciate its inner beauty and spiritual charm of the country but also discovered the treasure of art, both ancient and contemporary, that I would love to share with you later.
During the trip I tried to follow in the footsteps of Ms. Shirasu Masako and Ms. Aso Keiko for how and what to appreciate the places. Without their exquisite taste and knowing about the secrets I would have never been to those places that put me in awe and experienced the places like no other have.
And also expressing my gratitude once again to Masami-san! The day before the trip you reminded me of a few galleries that I must go. I visited all of them! If I did not I will never know what the art scene in Japan is all about. And you made me spend a lot of money!
You know what I like to do lately? I like reading about Japan - the tea, the temples, the history, the people, the culture ... it is such a spiritual thing to do & appreciate! And also to persist what I am - to own the most beautiful things in the world! HAHAHA!!!
I am very happy to find myself stuck in a materialistic trap - like Mr. Sen no Rikyu!
(to be continued ...)
